Swapnil has graduated in contemporary dance from Broadway Dance Centre in New York City & from Opus Ballet in Florence, Italy.
He has trained with choreographers on So You Think You Can Dance (USA) and with the world renowned Pilobolus Dance Theatre Company.
About the Class:
Acrobatic Groundwork:
Sourcing dance from the inside out, we look through the lens of contemporary performance to develop honesty, presence, and authenticity in our movement. Through scores of improvisation, somatic acrobatics, writing and experimentation, we look at how the individual exists within ensemble performance in the pursuit of tapping the raw essence of realness.
Contemporary Class:
The Contemporary Class will focus on the basics of technique, body alignment and exploring movement. We will get the body started with a short warm-up that includes stretching & Isolations. We will move on to doing floorwork and across the floor exercises to eventually learn a contemporary dance routine.
