The First ODI match on 13th October, 2013 will be held at the Stadium at Gahunje, Pune, as India will take on Australia as part of the seven match ODI series from October to November. This will be the first time the cricket ball will roll down the grass for 100 overs during the day-night match, as the stadium will come alive for an ODI. After hosting its first Twenty-Twenty cricket match of IPL edition 2012, the stadium has come a long way with 17 matches being played from IPL 2012, 2013 editions and 1 international T20 match between India and England. The stadium sits amidst picturesque mountains giving it an amazing location and pleasant weather all throughout the year giving the crowd a memorable experience. The stadium is expected to erupt with cheers from thousands of fans, following the sound of the ball hitting the stumps or hitting the 'sweet spot' of the bat on Sunday, 13th October 2013!!
