Shri.R.K.Laxman is shining luxury in the field of cartooning both in India and abroad. He during the past several decades, he has exhibited his rare and unique artistic prowess in cartooning. In cultivating this art he has not left any field of human activity untouched, be it politics or national and global events of significance. His subjects demonstrates rare artistic flair and elegance, combined with subtlety and harmless humor. He has carved for himself and indelible niche in the heart and mind of art lovers and people all over the world.
In this exhibition, over 500 rare and universally acclaimed cartoons of Shri. R.K.Laxman on contemporary events and personalities will be displayed from September 22nd to September 27 2013 Sunday to Friday at Balgandharva Art Gallery in Pune, the home of art and culture in Maharashtra. This exhibition aims acquaint and instruct art lovers and the youth of today in the life and nuances of the art of cartooning of Shri. R.K.Laxman.
